In 2006 over 525 children were able to return to school because edurelief programs were promoted and funded by people just like you. In 2007 and the years to come edurelief plans to sponsor the education of thousands of children across Mongolia. You can help make that happen. Get involved today.

Volunteer Opportunities

2-5 Hours a week:

  1. Thank you notes to donors
  2. Manage Myspace page (request/add people, update events, answer questions, etc.)
  3. Promote GoodSearch and Free Pledge online
  4. Brainstorm ideas and research fundraising events and opportunities (local and national, online), networking with other non-profits and NGOs.
  5. Press and news release writer for upcoming events and campaigns
  6. Meet, network, and connect with the local business community about corporate donations, Rotary Club sponsorships, etc.
  7. Meet with your boss or supervisor about setting up employee match donations, etc. Talk to them about ordering through Free Pledge and choosing edurelief as the cause.

Over the Next 3 Months:
Be involved with our event planning committee in planning our Spring Auction event!
+ Plan and organize auction/dinner for this spring
    - Invitation list, location, menu, budget, supplies, volunteers, invites, items donated, volunteer management, etc.

Events:
Our most successful and helpful events have been put on by volunteers wanting to help out, some things people have done: "Mugger", benefit dinners, Dorm Awareness Night, benefit concerts, Employer Match Funds (GB), awareness events at school/church/job, sports team "Adopt a Classroom", classrooms here adopting a classroom in Mongolia, etc...

Are you or someone you know a teacher? We are setting up some comprehensive lesson plans that teachers can incorporate into their classrooms to inform their kids about world issues and other cultures. Included are applicable ways of getting the kids actively involved in making a difference in other kids' lives. Think: classrooms for classrooms.
