The 20$10 Campaign
Have you ever thought what it would be like to have every country on earth supporting something you are doing? It’s the kind of support and community partnership that can make huge change possible. That is the idea behind our 20$10 Campaign. Our aim is to partner together with people from every country on earth to make a difference in children’s education in Mongolia. With this worldwide support we will reach out and invest in the futures of children in some of the poorest and most isolated rural areas in Mongolia.
Why 20$10? It’s 2010 and this year we’d like to start 10 new projects. To do this we need to raise at least 2,000 $10 donations. We’d like to see at least one person from every country on earth give. With a family of nearly 200 countries it will take as few as 10 people per country to reach our goal. We’re hoping your country won’t stop giving after we meet our 2,000 donation goal.
Tracking 20$10. We’ll track the ongoing results of the campaign right on this page. As donations come in from around the world we will post the results per country on the map with the total amount given below.
The effect of 20$10. With the support raised from the campaign we will help rural schools in Mongolia setup school libraries and obtain desperately needed educational and technical equipment and training. We have already selected schools that are in need of support and will greatly benefit from this campaign. They include Jargaalant, Khangal, Hylagant, Hatgal, Tsaagan Nuur, Bayan Olgii, and Tunkhel soum schools.
20$10 and you. We have a lot of connections, but not connections from every country in the world. We need your help to find generous donors from every corner of the earth. Also, we need organizers who can share about the 20$10 Campaign at school and in their workplaces to help gather donations. With your help we’re confident we can reach, and break our goal of 2,000 donations.
