about edurelief
edurelief is a grassroots organization that was founded by an American doing humanitarian work in Mongolia. The organization was founded in 2006 in response to an issue that is affecting thousands of Mongolian children and their families. Due to economic decline in the country a lack of funding in the education system is forcing families to either purchase textbooks required for their children's education or have their children drop out of school. Because of low wages and high unemployment rates the cost of these textbooks, often the equivalent of a month's salary per child, is simply out of reach for many families. edurelief works with local school systems across Mongolia to provide these textbooks to the neediest families ensuring that every child receives their right of education and a brighter future.

The promotion of education by edurelief programs has a great effect on Mongolian communities. Education has been proven to reduce poverty, improve quality of life, promote health and encourage hope in the future of people's lives. Through these programs edurelief not only meets the practical need of ensuring the education of the children of these communities, they also are effective ways of bringing hope and well-being to the communities.
The effectiveness of edurelief depends on people like you deciding to make a difference in the lives of these children. With $20, edurelief can supply a child in need with a full year of education. Keeping these children in schools gives them a chance to change the future of their country, to break their cycle of despair. You can be that difference.
In 2006 over 525 children were able to return to school because edurelief programs were promoted and funded by people just like you. In 2007 and the years to come edurelief plans to sponsor the education of thousands of children across Mongolia. You can help make that happen. Involvement is simple; tell a friend, send an email, show an edurelief video, pass out flyers, sponsor a child, it doesn't take much to make a huge difference in someone's life. Find out how you can make a difference today.
